Andreea Rusu joined the ICANN community through the NextGen Program at ICANN56, Helsinki, Finland. She continued to get involved in the ICANN community by taking the role of Ambassador in the NextGen program at ICANN58, Copenhagen, Denmark.

ICANN and Internet Governance Participation

In the Internet Governance field, Andreea is interested in two subjects: the youth engagement in the policy development of Domain Name System and the protection of registrants’ privacy rights.

Education

Andreea is originally from Romania, where she graduated from the Faculty of Law, "Al.I.Cuza" University, Iasi, Romania. Passionate about the synergy between the law and technology she joined the LLM program at the University of Oslo, Information and Communication Technology Law. She graduated in the summer of 2016 with the Master's thesis: “Protection of Third Parties Rights in Cloud Seizures – A European Perspective”.
